Landscape Edging

Landscape edging is crucial for keeping different materials in your yard separated. If the budget allows, it's always a good idea to install some type of edging between grass and other areas. Grass has a tendency to creep, and without proper edging, maintaining clean boundaries can become time-consuming and expensive. Our edging solutions extend about 4" below the surface, stopping rhizomes in their tracks. We always use a string line to ensure straight lines, which makes a huge difference in the final product.

Metal Edging

We typically install black metal edging because it provides the cleanest look. There is also raw metal edging, which rusts over time. This can be a great option for achieving a rustic aesthetic. The edging is installed approximately 3" below the grade, leaving about a half-inch exposed above the grass, or flush with the top of shorter grass. It is secured using metal spikes that fit into pre-drilled holes, which also connect the sections together.

Paver Edging

Paver edging pieces are roughly 1' long, with one curved side designed to interlock. Like metal edging, they are installed about 3" below the grade, leaving about a half-inch exposed above the grass or flush with the top of shorter grass. The key difference is that we place a few inches of gravel beneath the edging and compact it with a hand tamper. This prevents the edging from sinking over time, maintaining a consistent line along your yard—both horizontally and vertically.
